The preview gives every row a name, a count and a dollar price. Give each part a row of its own, then add a row for labor, entering hours as the count and your shop rate as the price. Note the vehicle and mileage in the first row so the customer can tie the invoice to the job.
Whatever tax rate you type is charged on the full subtotal, so parts and labor can't carry different rates in the preview. Check your state's rules on tax for parts and labor, and ask an accountant if they differ where you work. Worked example using the preview's sample rows: front brake pads at 1 × $72.00, two wiper blades at 2 × $18.00 = $36.00, and labor at 2 × $110.00 = $220.00. Together that is $72.00 + $36.00 + $220.00 = $328.00, which stays the total when no tax rate is entered. Use your own parts prices and labor rate.
