Materials such as mulch, soil or stone use the unit you sold them in, like cubic yards or bags, with the price per unit. Plants can be counted, with the price of each.
If tax belongs on the job, one percentage goes in the box under the lines. Find out first from your state's tax agency whether landscaping work and materials are taxed.
Worked example, with sample figures: a spring cleanup with 6 crew hours at $50.00 (6 × $50.00 = $300.00), 5 cubic yards of mulch at $42.00 (5 × $42.00 = $210.00) and 8 shrubs planted at $35.00 each (8 × $35.00 = $280.00). The subtotal is $300.00 + $210.00 + $280.00 = $790.00, matching the preview's total before any tax.
