Count the sessions you held and enter that number in Qty, with your fee for one session in Rate. The subtotal is the count times the fee.

On a second row with its price, so the parent can see it apart from the lessons.

Should the student's name be on the invoice?

Putting the student's name and the subject in the session row's description lets a family with several children tell which lessons it covers.

Does the preview send anything to the parent?

A month of tutoring fits on very few rows. The sessions go on the first: the number held in Qty and your fee for one session in Rate, with the student's name, the subject and the month in the description. A workbook or other materials you bought for the student can follow on a second row.
