A translation job can go into the preview as words plus any hourly work. On the first row, name the document and the language pair; the source word count is the quantity, and what you charge per word is the price. Hourly work such as formatting, desktop publishing or a review pass is listed after it, hours against your hourly rate.
The tax box adds one percentage to the subtotal. Confirm with an accountant whether translation services are taxable in your state before entering a rate.
Worked example, with sample figures: a 2,400-word contract from Spanish into English at $0.12 a word is 2,400 × $0.12 = $288.00, and 2 hours of formatting at $35.00 is 2 × $35.00 = $70.00. The subtotal is $288.00 + $70.00 = $358.00 before tax.
